Robert Wolff

Robert E. Wolff, age 75, of Manteno, formerly of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.

He was born on August 15, 1945 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, the son of Edward J. and Marcella L. (Lohmann) Wolff.  He was a United States Army Veteran.  Bob was retired from Commonwealth Edison and enjoyed bass fishing.  His family is forever thankful for the wonderful staff at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno for the fantastic care they provided for Bob and for treating him like part of their family.

He is survived by his daughter, Callie Wolff of Glendale, AZ; his son, Brett (Sharee) Wolff of Beecher; 3 grandchildren, Karlie Wolff, Jacob (Julie) Wolff and Conor Long; 2 brothers, Michael Wolff and Steve (Judy) Wolff; a sister, Diane Gardner; a cousin who was more like a brother, Ken Pickens; and special friends who visited with him often, Gary and Sue Vanlaningham, Roger Becker, Billy Schwiesow, and Ken Kros.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Monday, July 26 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Military honors and committal services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Tuesday, July 27 at 9:15 a.m.
