Mary Jane Madoni

Mary Jane Madoni, age 73, formerly of Atwood, IL, currently of Bourbonnais, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her home.

She was born on April 30, 1949 in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Richard and Jane (Goldthorpe) Swartz.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  She was kind, loving, and always taking care of others.  After a long battle with ovarian cancer, she has been called home.  Mary Jane grew up in Peotone, IL and graduated from Prairie State College as a dental hygienist.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband Paul Madoni; son, Mike DeCarlo (Stephanie); daughter Kim Voudrie (Scott); grandchildren, Deeanna, Alexander, Joshua,  Sylvia; great-grandchildren Houston, Legend, and Dontae; brothers, Danny Swartz, Randy Swartz (Sandie), and Mike Swartz (Nina); and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Mary Jane will be missed and celebrated.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main St., Peotone, IL on Wednesday, June 1 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m.  The funeral service will be live streamed on the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home Facebook page.  Burial will take place at Peotone Cemetery following the funeral service.  Memorials in Mary Jane’s name may be directed to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance | OCRA  https://ocrahope.org   Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
