Julia Rogus

Julia A. Rogus, age 79, of Park Forest, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL.

She was born on October 14, 1941 in Blue Island, IL, the daughter of Peter and Evelyn (Szczech) Rogus.  She was retired after working 45 years for Marshall Field’s Department Store Company.  She was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Park Forest, IL.  Julia enjoyed bowling, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing Bingo, and going to the casino.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Edwin (Karen) Rogus of Braidwood, IL and Robert (Patricia) Rogus of Greenwood, WI; a sister, Veronica Foss of Park Forest, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Theresa.

A visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 9 from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service being held at 7:00 p.m.  Due to the global health pandemic (COVID-19) the wearing of a face covering will be required to enter the funeral home and social distancing must be observed.  Memorials in her name to the South Suburban Humane Society, 1103 West End Ave., Chicago Heights, IL 60411 would be appreciated.
