William Pruitt

William Anthony Pruitt, age 65, of Lake Station, IN, formerly of Griffith, IN, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hobart, IN.

He was born on July 26, 1953 in Hammond, IN, the son of the late James and Christina (Romano) Pruitt.  He worked for OCS Environmental as an E.P.A. specialist.  He was a sports enthusiast who had a passion for golf, enjoyed bowling, and was a Notre Dame super fan.

He is survived by his son, Jarrett Pruitt of Monee; 2 brothers, Steve Pruitt and Chris (Patty) Pruitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Pruitt.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
