William James Gordon Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life defined by strength, loyalty, and deep devotion to those he loved.
William proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and carried that sense of honor throughout his life. He was a proud member of the Peotone American Legion Post #392. He found great joy in fishing, often spending peaceful hours by the water, and he enjoyed watching classic westerns, especially films starring John Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Davenport and Alice Davenport; and his sister Alice.
William is survived by his loving wife, Dolorita Farmer-Gordon; his children, Daniel Davenport, Kimberly Holt, Nikki Buczkowski, and Shaun Farmer; his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Trinity, Sky, Kiernan, Madison, Caelan, Tommy, Mason, Isabella, Easton, and Aubrey; his five great grandchildren and his siblings, Michael, Kenneth, Susan, Thomas, Kathleen, and Barbara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation Services
Visitation will be held Monday, March 9th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main Street, Peotone, Illinois 60468.
William wished to be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with military honors. Interment services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, William's wishes were for any donations to go to the Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's research foundation.
