Wendy S. Nieland

Wendy S. Nieland, age 67, of Green Garden Township, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

She was born on September 11, 1957, the daughter of Louis and Alyce (Walker) Aigner. She married Randall G. Nieland on May 7, 1977, in Crete, IL. He passed away on May 21, 2017. Wendy enjoyed gardening, working outside, and creating stained glass pieces. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Jennifer) Nieland of Highland, IN and Jonelle (Aaron Grubb) Nieland of Manteno, IL; her grandchildren, Victoria, Timothy, and Therese Nieland, Caleb and Collin Hardy, and Hannah Taylor; her honorary grandchildren, Eva, Mark, and Jacob Bettenhausen; her sister, Diane (Tom Fitzpatrick) Aigner; her brother, Tom (Barb) Aigner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Rev. Terry Krouskoupf officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Green Garden Township. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
