Warren W. Koehn

Warren W. Koehn, age 94, formerly of Peotone, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Citadel of Bourbonnais.

He was born on August 20, 1932, in Peotone Township, the son of Frank and Clara (Rehberg) Koehn. He married Theresa L. Burger on February 18, 1955, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. Warren was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Peotone American Legion Post 392. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954 and 6 years in the reserves. He had the privilege of being one of 107 veterans who attended the Honor Flight Chicago on October 5, 2016. Warren loved attending all the sport events at Peotone High School, supporting the athletes and interacting with all the students.

Warren is survived by his daughter, Debbie Koehn Libecap; son, Douglas Koehn; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Vanessa Koehn; a brother and sister-in-law, LaVern and Dorothy Koehn; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Franklin Lohrbach; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Theresa; his son, Duane; 2 brothers, Frank Koehn Jr. and Donald (Carol) Koehn; and a sister, Clara Belle (Donald) Siefert.

Visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, from 10:00 a.m.to 12;00 p.m. with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Rev. Terry Krouskoupf officiating. Interment and military honors will be at Peotone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Peotone American Legion or Uplifted Care Hospice in Bourbonnais.
