Shirley N. Steck

Shirley N. Steck, age 80, of Monee, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields.

She was born on July 30, 1945, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Shirley and Leona (Black) Cadieux. Shirley enjoyed horses, painting and other artwork, cars, antiques, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Steck Jr. whom she married on January 13, 1978. She is also survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan (Alice) Starkey and Brett (Gail) Starkey; her grandchildren, Ryan Starkey-Horst (Zach), Ian Starkey, Hayley Starkey, and Riley Starkey; a brother, Randall Cadieuz, and a sister, Karla Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brad Aaron Starkey.

Visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Terry Krouskoupf officiating.
