Sharon Stadt

Sharon L. Stadt, age 69, of Cherokee Village, AR and Manteno, IL, formerly of Peotone, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home.

She was born on September 11, 1945 in Kankakee, IL, the daughter of the late David Beaver and Lorraine “Tootie” Stadt. She married Ralph L. Stadt on December 16, 1961 in Peotone. She was a retired dietician working at the Peotone Bensenville Home. She was very active in church and community activities in Cherokee Village, AR. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting, mending, sewing, and fishing. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph L. Stadt; two daughters, Lori (Bruce) Borden of Manhattan, IL and Roberta Chavez of Manteno, IL; seven grandchildren, Linnea Borden, Brandon Borden, Laurie Ann Stadt, Corey Stadt, Tiffany (Adam) Toepper, Nick (Lindsay) Chavez, and Stefanie Chavez; seven great-grand-children, Colton-David and Avery; Lorne and Ira; Olsen, Gavin, and Lakin; and two brothers, David Bruce (Lisa) Beaver of Texas and Roger (Jacquie) Beaver of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, David R. Stadt (January 17, 2004).

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Jonathan Krogh officiating. Interment will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to the Family’s Wishes would be appreciated.
