Roger L. Lattz

Roger L. Lattz, age 77, of Kankakee, IL, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Riverside Miller Healthcare Center in Kankakee, IL.

He was born on September 24, 1948, in Kankakee, the son of the late Henry and Florence (Asbrand) Lattz. Roger was married to Cynthia Steury-Lattz who preceded him in death on June 11, 2008. He was a Peotone High School graduate and then earned an associate’s degree in agriculture from Joliet Junior College. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran and a member of the Kankakee County Farm Bureau. Always a farmer at heart, Roger was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching NASCAR. He was an enthusiastic Illini sports fan as along with the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Joseph Beasley; his son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Mary Lattz; his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Kathleen Lattz; his 2 grandsons, Caleb Beasley and Lucas Beasley; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main St., Peotone, IL, on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place at Peotone Cemetery.
