Rita Swanson

Rita Agnes Swanson, 89, of Peotone, formerly of Oak Forest, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at home.

She was born on December 20, 1928 in Chicago, the daughter of the late William and Ellen Dillon.  She married the late Robert Swanson on September 2, 1950.  She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone.

She is survived by her children; Linda Richardson of Orland Park, Carl Swanson of Peotone, Laura Sheehy of Sayreville, NJ, Jeff (Michelle) Swanson of Tinley Park, and Mike (Debbie) Swanson of Oak Forest; her grandchildren, Robert (Amber) Robinson , Merry (Ted) Kremamalmeyer , Rebecca Sheehy, Patrick Richardson , Kevin Richardson, Nicole (Caleb) Da'Villa, Jenny Swanson, Katie Swanson, Eric Swanson; her great-grandchildren, Lilly Robinson, Paisley Robinson , Sarah Kremamalmeyer, Ryan Kremamalmeyer, Alex Kremamalmeyer, Jacob Kremamalmeyer, Landon Kearney, Charlotte Da'Villa; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ellen Dillon; her husband, Robert Swanson; 2 sisters; and three brothers including her twin brother.

A memorial visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 2:00 p.m., Father Roger Kutzner officiating.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
