Raymond Albert Lotz, 67, of Manteno, formerly of Green Garden, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at VITAS Hospice of Franciscan St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Grant Park, IL, Pastor Cory Estby officiating. Burial will take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grant Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Tobin, Mark Siemsen, Chris Weishaar, Steve Freese, John Sullivan, and Tim King. Memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Raymond was born October 22, 1946 in Harvey, IL; the son of the late Raymond and Florence (DeYoung) Lotz. He was a graduate of Bradley University and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He was the business owner of Lotz Excavating Company for over 30 years. He served in the Illinois National Guard. He also served as a member of the Y.M.C.A./Camp Pinewood Board and the Will County 4H Board. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park. He especially enjoyed spending family time at the lake.

He is survived by his wife, Candy (Miller) Lotz who he married on October 31, 1970 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dolton, IL. He is also survived by four children; Amy Lotz (Chris) Weishaar of St. Charles, Eric (Jenn) Lotz of Bourbonnais, Kristen Lotz (Mike) Tobin of Elmhurst, and Kate Lotz (Mark) Siemsen of Chicago; six grandchildren, Emily, Gracie, and Jacob Lotz, Jack and Joshie Tobin, and Brady Siemsen; four sisters, Janice (Earl) Willette of Lexington, NC, Millie (Pastor John) Jaster of Las Vegas, NV, Pat (Forrest) Fishburn of Knox, IN, and Ellen (Don) Freese of Knox, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
