Pamela L. McCready

Pamela L. McCready, age 80, of Crete, IL, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL.

She was born on October 8, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Robert and Lucille Strybis. She married Terry McCready on August 4, 1967, in Olympia Fields, IL. Pam was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was a faithful and loyal friend to many. She loved her family and doting on her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Terry McCready of Crete, IL; her daughter and son-in-law, Marcie and Jim Hamann of Peotone; her daughter-in-law, Paula McCready of Cedar Lake, IN; her sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lee Richardson of Beecher, IL; her brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Jane Strybis of Shelby Township, MI; and her grandchildren, Lauren Hamann and Ian Hamann. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Terrence G. “T.G.” McCready, Jr.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
