Norma F. Stoeff, age 97, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Joliet Area Community Hospice in Joliet, IL.
She was born on June 2, 1921 in Lansing, IL, the daughter of Jack and Clara (Rutschmann) Trinowski. Norma and her mother volunteered for over 25 years at the VA Hospital in downtown Chicago. She was very active in the Edward Schultz Post 697American Legion Auxiliary and worked for 18 years at the Calumet City, IL Post Office as a window clerk.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terrence and Coleen Stoeff of Mokena; 2 grandchildren, Greg Schirato and Debbie Drechny; 6 great-grandchildren, Chloe Shah, Mookie Schirato, Johnny Drechny, Ian Schiarto, Zyan Stoeff, and Zanden Stoeff; and 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Stoeff; a sister; Eileen Stoklosa; and a grandson, Matt Stoeff.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, June 14 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Richard Young officiating. Private burial will take place at Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery in Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
