Mildred Rose Mansmith, age 92, of Monee, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Beecher, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will be held.
She was born December 31, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Ed and Amanda (Riceman) Meder. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold Mansmith (April 24, 1990); and a brother, Marshall. She is survived by 2 sons, Ronald (Jeanne) Mansmith of Monee and Harold Mansmith; a daughter, Candace Reedy; 4 grandchildren, Danny Mansmith, Ron (Nicole) Mansmith Jr., Jennifer (Shawn) Weekes, and Timothy Reedy; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Monee American Legion Post 1200 Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling.
