Marjorie E. Rogers

Marjorie E. (Ginter) Rogers, age 101, of Manteno, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Citadel of Bourbonnais.

She was born on February 15, 1925, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Clarence Sr. and Amelia (Behrens) Ginter. Marjorie married Richard J. Rogers, Sr., on February 16, 1946, in Santa Rosa, CA. He passed away on February 21, 2014. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. Marjorie enjoyed making porcelain dolls and quilting.

She is survived by her children; Mary (the late Larry) Jones, Steven Rogers, and Richard (Mary) Rogers Jr.; her grandchildren, Jamie Stokes, Jimmy Van Hoveln, Jerry Jones, and Beth Acton; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Audrey Van Hoveln; a brother, Clarence Ginter Jr.; and a grandson, Gary Jones.

Visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Nancy Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor’s wishes.
