Marjorie E. Ritzmann, 90, of Peotone, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at home, suddenly.
She was born September 27, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Dorothy Bohr. She graduated from Fenger High School and went to work at the First National Bank in Chicago. After marrying her husband, Clement, she moved to Peotone. She worked at the United States Post Office in Peotone for over 20 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone and a lifetime member of the Peotone American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by 2 children; Dean Alan (Mary) Ritzmann and Karen Barth, both of Peotone; and 3 grandchildren, Frederick Carl Nagel Jr. of Peotone, Katherine (Rob) MacDonnell of Bourbonnais, and Megan Mary Clarke of Peotone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clement H. Ritzmann (June 12, 1997) who she married on December 2, 1950 in Peotone; a grandson, Nicholas Clement Nagel (October 31, 2007); and 2 brothers, William and James Bohr.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3 from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. memorial service, Rev. John Billow officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial will take place at Peotone Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to the Peotone Paramedics or Helping Hands of Peotone would be appreciated.
