Laura Jean (Stone) Timmons

Laura Jean (Stone) Timmons, age 84, formerly of Peotone, IL, Nokomis, FL, and Venice, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Care in Joliet, IL.

She was born on July 28, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late John Ronald and Edna Georgia (Rayburn) Kuster. Laura worked as a nurse and then served as the administrator of the Peotone Bensenville Nursing Home. She had a great love for all of her family and animals. She reunited with her high school sweetheart, Mike Timmons, 49 years after graduation, and they were married on March 29, 2007. He preceded her in death in January 2022.

Laura was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Stone, on June 16, 2021. Laura is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jane (Bruce) Stone of Frankfort, IL, her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Susie Stone of Morris, IL; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Scott Novak of Ashkum, IL; her 7 grandchildren, Mike (Amanda) Stone, Brad Stone, Erica (Joe) Blumberg, Lauren (Josh) Kelly, Ashley (Colby) Noethe, Cody (Holly) Novak, and Kasey (Jake) Tarro; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marian Kuster; and several nieces and nephews.
