Kenneth Hartsfield Sr.

Kenneth Hartsfield Sr., 78, of Peotone, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2026.

Ken was born on May 18, 1947, and was a graduate of Bremen High School, Class of 1965. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ken was also a longtime resident of Matteson, Illinois, before later residing in Peotone.

On July 3, 1967, Ken married Donna Hartsfield. They shared many years together and built a life focused on family and hard work.

Ken owned and operated Harts Top & Cabinet, a countertop and cabinet business he started in 1979 in Tinley Park, Illinois, which later moved to Country Club Hills, Illinois. He ran the business for more than 40 years.

Ken is survived by his wife, Donna Hartsfield; his children, Kevin Hartsfield, Kenneth (JoAnna) Hartsfield Jr., Greg (Ivy) Hartsfield, and Kimberly (Doug) Snyder; his grandchildren, Ryan, Kaylee, Noah (Katelyn), Cameron, Jason, Chandler, Kendall, Hunter, Brody, and Soleil; and his sisters, Donna (Gary) Carlson and Sharon Werner.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lorraine Hartsfield.

Ken enjoyed simple things in life, including his red Geo Tracker, spending time at his cottage in Tefft, Indiana, milk and cookies, and being with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a hardworking man

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
