Joseph William Mitchell, age 61, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Asta Care Center in Toluca, IL.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Green Garden Baptist Church, 25800 S. Center Rd., Monee, IL. Funeral services will be held Green Garden Baptist Church on Monday, July 28, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m., Pastor Jayson Workman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Joseph was born on September 29, 1952 in Chicago, the son of the late Norman Sr. and Caroline (Serio) Mitchell. He is survived by his brother, Norman Jr. (Phillia) Mitchell; his sister, Linda (Robert) Schroth of Ingleside, IL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
Joe was loved by everyone who knew him. His favorite bible verse was Acts 16:31: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
