Joseph K. Kranker, 51, of Peotone, died suddenly on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home with funeral services at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to the Peotone Fire Department would be appreciated.
Joe was born on August 25, 1961 in Chicago, the son of the late Rudy Kranker (May 4, 2001) and Carlene (DiJoseph) Kranker of Morris, IL who survives. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Mudro of Morris; a niece, Shannon Mudro; and a nephew, Thomas Mudro.
Joe was an owner/operator of the RC Family BP in Peotone. He was a member of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. Joe was very active with Shannon Mudro Racing and enjoyed motor sports. He also enjoyed boating, jet skiing, and snowmobiling. He sponsored the Peotone Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby for many years.
