James Fox

James A. Fox, age 55, of Peotone, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home, suddenly.

He was born on September 1, 1959 in Chicago Heights, IL, the son of the late James F. and Virginia (Grundler) Fox. He was currently working as a cook at Heritage Woods in Manteno, IL. He was the former owner for 10 years of Peotone Quick Lube. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Beecher where he currently served as a Deacon. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards and board games with his family. He especially just enjoyed spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife, Donna (Schwer) Fox of Peotone who he married on August 1, 1980 in Tinley Park. He is also survived by two daughters, Renee (Mark) Weaver of Bradley and Rachel Fox of Peotone; one grandson, Lucas Weaver; two sisters, Pam (Richard) Bruns of South Chicago Heights and Sue Fox of Indiana; a brother, Mike Fox of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, James A. Fox Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1407 W. Church Rd, Beecher, IL at 11:00 a.m, Rev. Joel Dietrich officiating. There will be visitation at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to service. Burial will take place at Peotone Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Weaver, Donald Schwer Jr. Don Cook, Ronald Dymerski Sr., Donald Schwer III, and Ryan Schwer. Ronald Dymerski Jr. will be the bagpiper for the services. Memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
