Florene Brozowski

Florene Brozowski, age 88, of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.

She was born on January 18, 1931 in Winchester, TN, the daughter of the late Richard and Worley (Tipps) Boswell.  She married Richard Brozowski on April 1, 1947.  He passed away on August 26, 1996.  She was a member of the Peotone United Methodist Church and was a lifelong homemaker who loved gardening, baking, reading, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Debbie) Brozowski of Peotone and Dan Brozowski of Manteno; grandchildren, Lynn Brozowski, Roy (Betsie) Brozowski, Matthew (Jennifer) Brozowski, and Lesley (Ryan) Maher; and great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jakob Brozowski, Kaylee Coyne, Raelyn Maher, and Nora Maher.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Roy Brozowski (June 18, 1985); a sister, Helen; and 2 brothers, Logan and Harville.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 1 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Richard Young officiating.  Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery.  Memorials to the Peotone Firefighter’s Association would be appreciated.
