Dennis W. Broadbent

Dennis W. Broadbent, age 72, of Peotone, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024.  He was born on November 27, 1951, in Gary, IN, the son of Joseph and Elsie (nee Story) Broadbent.  

      Dennis is survived by his wife, Ellen (nee Judy) Broadbent of Peotone who he married on June 10, 1984, at Chapel in the Woods in Palos Park, IL.  He is also survived by three sons; Sean Broadbent of Peotone, Charlie Broadbent of Tinley Park, and Danny Broadbent of Peotone; and two brothers, Joseph Broadbent of Missouri and Alan (Mary) Broadbent of Homer Glen.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ken Broadbent.

      Dennis retired from Local 476 Studio Mechanics.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Blackhawks and Bears.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

      Cremation rites have been accorded.   A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
