David M. Urbanek

David M. Urbanek, age 55, of Peotone, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL.

Dave was born on September 12, 1969, in Hammond, IN, the son of Terrence and Mary (Orsini) Urbanek. Dave was a graduate of Peotone High School, Class of 1987. He worked for the past 16 years at Costco in Morris, IL. He enjoyed watching and cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.

He is survived by his children; Jacob (Kate) Mynatt of West Lafayette, IN, Mandy (Lute) Welch of Peoria, IL, and Kenzi Urbanek of Flanagan, IL. Dave was the beloved Paw Paw of Jason, Jesse, and Jayde Mynatt, Evelynn Welch and another grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Noelle (John) Gocal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrence and Mary Urbanek and his sister, Catherine Urbanek.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the wishes of the family. Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
