Dale B. Werner

Dale B. Werner, age 69, of Peotone, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home.

He was born on December 24, 1955, in Kankakee, IL, the son of the late Wilbur and Bernice (DuVoisin) Werner. He married Catherine Wilson on April 2, 1977, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Dale was the retired manager at Andres Grain Elevator. He was an avid collector of guns and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an outdoorsman and liked to ride dirt bikes in his younger years. He enjoyed attending antique tractor and Thresherman shows. Whenever he met a armed service veteran, he always took the time to thank them for their service to the United States of America.

Dale is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine (Wilson) Werner; his 2 sons, Robert Werner of Kankakee and Neil Werner of Bradley; his grandson, Nate Werner; his 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Larry Shivers of Viola, IL and Barbara and John Hunter of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery.
