Clara Belle Siefert

     Clara Belle (Koehn) Siefert, age 93, of Peotone, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.  

      She was born on October 2, 1930, in Peotone, the daughter of Frank Sr. and Clara (Rehberg) Koehn.  She married Donald R. Siefert on March 12, 1949, in Peotone.  He passed away on September 11, 1994.  Clara Belle worked as a manager at Peotone Supermarket retiring after 32 years.  She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, the Immanuel Women’s Fellowship, and the Peotone American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.  Clara Belle was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching all types of auto racing and all other sports. 

       She is survived by her children; Keith Allen (Terri) Siefert of Braidwood, Donna (Brad) Kristufek of Manteno, and Robbin (Joe) Bell of Bourbonnais; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Warren (Theresa) Koehn and LaVern (Dorothy) Koehn; 1 sister, Delores (Franklin) Lohrbach; a sister-in-law, Carol Koehn; a son-in-law, Kenneth Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Clara Koehn; her husband, Donald Siefert; a daughter, Crystalle Wilson (June 28, 2008); and 2 brothers, Frank Koehn Jr. and Donald Koehn.

      Visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., Nancy Wheeler officiating.  Burial will take place at Peotone Cemetery.  Memorials in her name may be directed to Uplifted Care Hospice or Immanuel United Church of Christ Women’s Fellowship.  Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
