Charles C. Jones

     Charles C. Jones, age 77, of Peotone, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines, IL.

     He was born on January 25, 1946, in Clinchmore, TN, the son of Gregg and Dora (Fuson) Jones.  He married Lucille Hausier on February 12, 1966, in Shawnytown, IL. 

He was an avid golfer participating in several golf leagues.  He loved his dogs and was a longtime supporter of the Humane Society.

     Charles is survived by his wife, Lucille Jones; his sisters, Phyllis Hale, Brenda Mathew, Sheila (Roy) Powell, Dorothy Viston, and Wanda Levitt; his brothers, James Jones and Ralph Greer; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Rusty and Cody.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Lloyd Greer; his sister, Beulah Garrety; and his brother, Ray Greer.

     Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
