Visitation for Beverly Thiesfeld Heusing, 84, of Peotone will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, Peotone. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Peotone, on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Billow officiating. Interment will be at the Peotone Cemetery. Mrs. Heusing died February 5, 2013, at Presence St. Mary's Hospital. She was born October 13, 1928, in Peotone to the late Milton and Esther Bunte Roedger. Her first husband, Verlin C. Thiesfeld, whom she married September 8, 1946, preceded her in death on September 19, 1989. Her second husband, Leo Heusing, whom she married December 28, 1996, preceded her in death on May 23, 2010. Surviving is her son, Alan (Beth) Thiesfeld, Peotone; her daughters, Karen (Ronald) Sippel, Peotone; Janet (John) Fogarty, Bourbonnais; and Susan (Randy) Bartels, Peotone.; Grandchildren, Michael and Gregory (Dana) Sippel, all of Peotone; Erin (Matthew) Weakley, Bourbonnais; Maureen and Pamela Fogarty, both of Little Rock, AR; Susan Fogarty, Surprise, AZ; Jacqueline (Matthew) Creighton, Chatham, IL; Brian (Amy) Bartels, Morton, IL; Laura and Megan Thiesfeld, both of Peotone; Great Grandchildren, Hunter and Avery Sippel; Samantha, Ryne, and Raegan Weakley; Justin Fogarty; and Mitchell Creighton; Step-son, Robert (Priscilla) Heusing, Forsyth, MO; Step-daughter Cindy Pawlowski, Kankakee, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death are daughter Donna Rae Thiesfeld (8/9/1952) and her sister, Marjorie Wilkening. Mrs. Heusing was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ where she served as Church Secretary for 25 years. She also taught Sunday School, sung in Immanuel's choir, and was past president of the PTA when her children were in school. Mrs. Heusing was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed reading, playing cards, and solving crossword puzzles; but most of all loved her family. Memorials may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ Plassmann Scholarship Fund.
