Alvin H. Mausehund, 87, of Manteno, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Manteno Springs Assisted Living Center in Manteno.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born April 23, 1926 in Peotone, the son of the late John and Clara (Mankus) Mausehund. He married the late Joyce M. Mausehund (7-24-2008) in Peotone on June 24, 1950. He was a retired farmer and retired employee of General Electric. He was a member of the Peotone United Methodist Church and the Peotone Prairie Cardinal Camping Club.
Mr. Mausehund is survived by 3 children; Bruce Mausehund of Manteno, Susan (Jerry) Pilbeam of Manteno, and David (Stella) Mausehund of Lake Village, IN; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Mausehund of Manteno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant daughter; a grandson, Chad Pilbeam; 5 brothers, Arthur, Raymond, John, Robert, and Frank; and a sister, Lois Kurth.
