Rachel M. (Shelton) Page, age 86, of Manteno, formerly of Midlothian and Peotone, passed away at her home on Monday, July 23, 2018.
She was born on November 25, 1931 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of the late Harvey and Rosa (Mason) Shelton. She married the late Theodore L. Page on April 6, 1957 in Decatur, IL. He passed away on October 17, 1994. She was a Registered Occupational Therapist retiring from Oak Forest Hospital. In the past, she was very involved at St. Steven’s Lutheran Church in Midlothian. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing word search puzzles. She was a very charitable and caring person to all who needed her assistance.
She is survived by her 6 children; Rosetta (Jim) Keithley of Arkansas, Roxanna (Leo) Saunoris of Peotone, Regina (Jeff) Niforos of Peotone, Robina (Tony) Neighbors of Wheaton, Theodore “Larry” (Dora) Page II of Alabama, and Rolanda Page of Bradley; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; her friend and caregiver, Cece; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 2 brothers, Donald Shelton and Albert Gordon.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, July 27 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Kevin Werner officiating. Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family’s wishes.
