Szeman, age 61, of Ava, IL, formerly of the Chicago land area, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at her son’s home in Peotone, IL. Mrs. Szeman owned and operated a coffee shop at S.I.U. in Carbondale, IL. She enjoyed arts and crafts. She is survived by her children, Angela (Bob) Roerdink of Schererville, IN, John (Angie) Szeman of Manhattan, IL, and Michael (Tiffany) Szeman of Peotone; her mother, Therese (Davis) Gallagher of Ava, IL, 4 grandchildren; Anthony, Sydney, Jordan, and Payton; 2 brothers, Paul Blaney of Murphysboro, IL and Bob (Tina) Tindall of Colorado; and 3 sisters, Michelle Tindall of Ava, IL, Nancy (Bruce) Webster of Canada, and Christine Gallagher of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Blaney. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone, IL with a funeral service at 8:00 p.m., Rev. Timothy Mitchell officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. |
